I got a call from a buddy of mine asking if i was interested in going together on a wakeboard boat.
Growing up in Utah I have come to love the outdoors, especially snowboarding, and wakeboarding, and now having graduated from Utah State University and becoming a pilot for the airlines it looked like owning my own boat could soon be a reality.
After discussing the proposition with my wife we determined that due to the distance between friends it would not be in our best interest to partner on a boat.
My interest however had grown and I continued to search classifieds for a good wakeboard boat. I came across several, but all were fairly expensive. Fifty thousand dollars would buy you a nice boat, but I could not justify spending that kind of money on a boat we would only be able to use 4 months out of the year. As much as I wanted a nice boat it just did not make sense financially to own a boat. I also figured in the insurance, maintenance, storage, regestration, taxes, wakeboards, life vests, etc. and the costs sky rocked. Why would anyone in there right mind by a boat? I asked myself.
With a trip planned to lake powell in early June I began looking for a boat to rent. In the process I ended up buying a business and very nice Tige 22v competition wakeboard boat. My wife and I had a very busy and sucessfull summer, and are excited to grow our business in 2008. Currently we are looking at a additional lines of boats, namely Malibu and Epic.
Again with the costs of storage, registration, taxes, maintenance, accessories, and the short season I'm sure you see the benefits of renting vs. owning a boat. We would like to invite you to our website at http://freedomrecreationrentals.com and give us the opportunity to earn your loyal business this summer.
Thanks for your interest and hope to see you on the lake!
